Diebold Looks To Put Bribery Probe Behind It

Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 9:45 PM ET) -- Diebold Inc. revealed Thursday that it has begun discussions with the government to settle an investigation into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

In a quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the ATM and voting machine maker disclosed that it has cooperated with both the SEC and the U.S. Department of Justice and has begun working "toward a possible resolution to this matter."
