Law360, New York (May 28, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Authors, publishers, other copyright holders and their agents are on the clock to opt out or object to a settlement agreement that implicates their exclusive rights to books, inserts and other copyrighted content.
The settlement arises out of a lawsuit filed by the Association of American Publishers and the Authors Guild against Google. The authors and publishers claimed that Google violated copyrights by scanning copyrighted works without permission.
