Master's Claim Construction Adopted In Xbox IP Spat

Law360, New York (June 23, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- On the eve of a patent trial over technology used in Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox gaming console, a federal judge has adopted a special master's report and recommendation for the disputed claim construction of a patented device that allows players to talk to each other while playing a video game from different locations.
