Law360, New York (March 10, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Japan’s cabinet has approved a bill to revise the Copyright Law to stiffen penalties for music piracy, Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun reported.
The bill, which the government hopes to see passed in the current Diet session and enacted in January, includes a ban on importing Japanese music CDs, records and tapes from other Asian countries for a limited time.
