Law360, New York (July 14, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Nokia Inc. has settled with three Texas patent-holding firms headed by the same executive, closing separate suits over patents related to computer network security appliances and cell phone technologies.
Judges David Folsom and Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed three cases against Nokia, brought by Aloft Media LLC, Azure Networks LLC and Stragent LLC, in orders issued Monday. All three orders granted joint dismissal motions submitted by Nokia and the companies submitted on Friday.
