Intel Pays Intergraph $225M To Settle Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 30, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Chip maker Intel will pay Intergraph Corp. $225 million to settle a patent suit over the technology used in Intel’s Itanium semiconductors, the two companies said Tuesday.

Intel said it will pay $125 million by April 5 and make four additional payments of $25 million in each of the next four quarters.

Intergraph has agreed not to sue any Intel customers for products that include a combination of Intel microprocessors, Intel chipsets and Intel motherboards.
