Law360, New York (October 30, 2009, 1:18 PM ET) -- Nidec Corp. has agreed to drop its allegations that an LG Electronics Inc. unit infringed a patent covering motors used in computer CD and DVD drives, following settlement negotiations this fall.
The Japan-based plaintiff, LG Innotek Co. Ltd. and two affiliates filed a joint stipulation of dismissal Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, putting to rest all claims, defenses and pending matters in this dispute over U.S. Patent Number 6,242,830.
