First Federal Settles Online Messaging Patent Suit

Law360, New York (December 21, 2009, 4:08 PM ET) -- First Federal Bank Texas has become the latest defendant to reach a licensing agreement with Wolf Run Hollow LLC, exiting a lawsuit that accuses several banks of infringing a patent for transmitting secure online messages.

Wolf Run filed a motion Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas to dismiss all claims against Tyler, Texas-based First Federal with prejudice — subject to the terms of the licensing agreement.
