Gateway To Pay $10M To Settle Intergraph Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 13, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Intergraph has won another settlement agreement over its Clipper chip patent, which so far has earned it licensing agreements of more than $250 million.

Intergraph said a settlement with Gateway Inc. will net it $10 million in licensing payments from the computer maker. Gateway will pay $10 million spread out over the rest of this year as well as future royalty payments of $1.25 on select computers sold by Gateway through February of 2009, according to Intergraph.
