Law360, New York (December 14, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Software giant Microsoft Corp. has taken aim at French communications provider Alcatel-Lucent in a patent infringement suit over a slew of its messaging patents.
Microsoft lodged the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, alleging that Alcatel-Lucent willfully violated 10 of its patents covering technology for transmitting a message at a future delivery time to a receiving device with either a telephony-centric or a data-centric network.
