Siemens Settles Acacia Unit's Server Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 4:55 PM ET) -- Siemens Enterprise Communications Inc. has become the latest defendant to resolve a suit brought by an Acacia Research Corp. unit accusing nearly two dozen companies of infringing a patent covering a digital network access server.

Acacia announced Thursday that its Network Gateway Solutions LLC subsidiary had struck a settlement with the communications provider, resolving litigation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

Additional details on the settlement were not disclosed, and an attorney for Siemens did not return a call seeking comment....
