Huawei Dropped From Wireless Networking IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 4:25 PM ET) -- Patent-holding company Stragent LLC has dropped Chinese telecommunications equipment supplier Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. from an infringement suit over a wireless networking patent, leaving only Huawei's U.S. subsidiary as a defendant in the case.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday granted Stragent's request to dismiss Huawei without prejudice.

Each party will bear its own costs and attorneys' fees, according to the order.
