Health Partners, Medica Drop OxyContin Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (May 06, 2010, 3:12 PM ET) -- Health Partners Inc. and several Medica Health Plans units have settled their suit against Purdue Pharma LP, becoming the latest indirect purchaser plaintiffs to drop out of a multidistrict litigation accusing the drugmaker of blocking generic competition for the painkiller OxyContin.

Judge Sidney H. Stein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday approved the insurers' stipulation to dismiss their claims against Purdue with prejudice.
