Law360, New York (January 25, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Japanese government has proposed a far-reaching plan for standardizing patent application procedures so they can be used by every country in the Asia-Pacific region.
If adopted, the plan would ease the process of obtaining intellectual property rights by standardizing application forms and, perhaps more importantly, sharing screening results.
