Law360, New York (August 03, 2010, 5:03 PM ET) -- Cognex Corp. failed to show it practices the inventions claimed in two patents at the center of its machine vision software infringement case against a slew of companies, the Office of Unfair Import Investigations has argued in challenging a U.S. International Trade Commission ruling.
Administrative Law Judge Carl C. Charneski erred in ruling July 16 that Cognex had proved it uses the inventions, according to a petition lodged Monday by attorney Lynn I. Levine, director of the OUII, which is part of the ITC.
