Law360, New York (August 09, 2010, 7:30 PM ET) -- Spansion Inc. has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to launch a Section 337 investigation of two-dozen technology companies — including Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. and Research In Motion Ltd. — as part of an ongoing battle over its flash memory chip patents.
The contents of the complaint, filed Friday by Bureden Warren of McDermott Will & Emery LLP on behalf of Spansion, were confidential, but the notice named 24 companies and their affiliates as proposed respondents.
