Humana Sues Walgreen Over Drug Cost Comparisons

Law360, New York (December 06, 2010, 1:23 PM ET) -- Humana Inc. has accused drugstore giant Walgreen Co. of violating the Lanham Act by presenting false and misleading information about the cost of prescriptions under the health insurer's drug plans.

Humana said in a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky that Walgreen is spreading the allegedly bad information through its website as part of a feature that enables Medicare consumers to compare prescription drug costs under various plans.
