Amazon, IMDb Sued Over Electronic Program Guides

Law360, New York (January 05, 2011, 5:45 PM ET) -- Rovi Corp. and subsidiary TV Guide Online LLC have accused Amazon.com Inc. and subsidiary IMDb.com Inc. of willfully infringing five patents related to electronic program guides and refusing to legally license the technology.

The suit, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges the defendants infringe the five patents with technology in their platforms Amazon Video on Demand, IMDb TV Listings and IMDb Videos.
