Law360, New York (February 03, 2011, 2:34 PM ET) -- Skating boot manufacturer Riedell Shoes Inc. has sued Adidas AG in order to preempt a trademark infringement claim from the German athletic apparel giant over a striped design element on roller skates.
Riedell is asking the court to declare that the two-stripe design on the boot portion of its roller derby skates does not infringe Adidas' signature three-stripe design, according to a complaint filed on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
