Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 4:15 PM ET) -- Sony Corp. was hit with a lawsuit Thursday in Texas federal court alleging the electronics giant infringed a patent related to LCD video projectors in order to capitalize on the devices’ booming popularity.
The suit by UK-based Compound Photonics Ltd. aims to block Sony from making and selling projectors — including some high-end 3-D systems — that allegedly infringe a patent for improving the image quality of LCD displays.
