Federal Circuit Keeps Takeda's Win Streak Alive

Law360, New York (June 29, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. triumphed in the latest in a string of court battles Thursday, when an appeals court panel affirmed a lower court ruling upholding the patent for its blockbuster diabetes treatment Actos.

In its opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rejected the obviousness argument put forth by generic drug maker Alphapharm Pty. Ltd.
