Cybersitter Ends $2B Code Theft Case Against Lenovo, Others

Law360, New York (February 08, 2012, 10:10 PM ET) -- Cybersitter LLC settled a $2.2 billion suit Tuesday in California federal court alleging Lenovo Group Ltd. and other computer makers colluded with the Chinese government to develop Web filtering software using code stolen from the software company.

In a brief notice of settlement, Cybersitter said the entire case had been settled, ending a 2-year-old suit over what the company called the first filtering software to block pornographic and violent content online, which it sold consistently for about 15 years.
