Law360, New York (May 10, 2012, 10:21 PM ET) -- A California jury awarded Grail Semiconductor Inc. almost $124 million Thursday after finding Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA Inc. broke a 2001 nondisclosure agreement involving a design for computer memory chips that's also the subject of a pending patent suit.
Grail alleged Mitsubishi used and disclosed Grail's confidential design to its Japanese affiliate Mitsubishi Electric Corp., and ultimately to Renesas Technology Corp., which is partly owned by Mitsubishi Japan.
