White Castle Jabbed With Trademark Suit Over Online Ads

Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 12:07 PM ET) -- Online greeting card company JibJab Media Inc. sued White Castle Management Co. on Tuesday in California federal court, alleging the burger chain is copying its trademarks and style in its recent social media campaign.

JibJab claims White Castle’s recent advertisement push on Facebook and Twitter intentionally utilizes both the trademarked “JibJab” name and the same type of animation found in JibJab’s line of e-cards in order to promote its new line of chicken rings.
