Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 1:29 PM ET) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said Tuesday that the U.S. might prefer more narrowly focused trade talks with the European Union than those advocated by his EU counterpart, citing the controversial Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement as an example of single-issue cooperation.
Kirk said that the U.S. and EU had not created the High-Level Working Group on Jobs and Growth in November to “go big or go home,” but rather to figure out practical trade solutions that would add jobs on both sides of the Atlantic.
