Insurers Sue To Shirk Defense Of J&J Counterfeiting Suit

Law360, New York (March 07, 2013, 5:36 PM ET) -- Citizens Insurance Co. of America and Hanover Insurance Co. hit Sterling Wholesale LLC and its president with a lawsuit Monday seeking to avoid covering the exporter in litigation over the alleged counterfeiting of Johnson & Johnson blood glucose test strips.

J&J and its subsidiary LifeScan Inc. have alleged Sterling and others intercepted OneTouch blood glucose strips bound for international markets, repackaged them and returned them to the U.S. for sale in pharmacies.
