Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s claims that Japan-based Sharp Corp. and its U.S. subsidiaries are infringing liquid crystal display patents through the importation of televisions, laptops and cell phones.
The ITC voted on Tuesday to institute the investigation into the complaint lodged a month ago by South Korea-based Samsung, which seeks an exclusion order to prevent Sharp's allegedly infringing devices from entering the U.S.
