Law360, New York (February 22, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A patent dispute between Ring Plus Inc. and Cingular Wireless LLC over ring-back technology is gearing up for trial after a judge denied motions for summary judgment from both sides on Feb. 13.
Ring Plus Inc. sued Cingular in September 2006, accusing the telecommunications giant of trampling its patent for the emerging and lucrative ring-back services, which can play ads while callers wait for calls to go through.
