DataTern Targets Sun, Oracle Over Database Patents

Law360, New York (August 06, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Technology firm DataTern Inc. has rounded up Sun Microsystems Inc., Oracle Corp. and others in two infringement actions over its database patents.

The suits, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday, allege that software made and sold by Sun, Oracle, BEA Systems Inc., CollabNet Inc. and O’Reilly Media Inc. violate DataTern’s two patents.
