Honeywell Files ITC Complaint Over Navigation Units

Law360, New York (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Honeywell International Inc. filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission Tuesday alleging that four Japanese companies are violating federal law by bringing automotive multimedia display and navigation systems that infringe six Honeywell patents into the United States.

Morristown, N.J.-based Honeywell sent the complaint to ITC Secretary Marilyn Abbott, asking the the ITC to institute an investigation into whether the companies, which also have U.S. subsidiaries named in the complaint, have violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
