Law360, New York (December 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. has slapped rival German chip maker Infineon Technologies AG and its subsidiaries with a countersuit and a separate lawsuit over several patents for semiconductor technology.
Fairchild filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine on Friday, just days after Infineon filed a separate patent claim in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
The companies had previously engaged in cross-licensing talks, but the dispute continued to escalate, Fairchild said.
