Law360, New York (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The number of international trademark applications soared to record levels last year, but a slowdown is expected in 2009, according to a statement released by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
WIPO received a record 42,075 filings under the Madrid System in 2008, representing 5 percent growth, according to WIPO.
