Affinity, VAIS Reach Deal Over Car Audio Patent

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Affinity Labs of Texas LLC has reached a settlement with VAIS Technology Ltd. in a suit brought by Affinity accusing a slew of electronics makers of infringing a patent for connecting portable audio players to automobile sound systems.

Affinity and VAIS reached an agreement in the dispute and have asked a judge to dismiss all claims and counterclaims with prejudice, according to a motion filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The parties reserved the right to file claims for...
