IBM, HP, Others Hit With IP Suit Over Blade Servers

Law360, New York (April 02, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A patent-holding company has sued several major computer manufacturers, including Hewlett-Packard Co. and IBM Corp., accusing them of infringing several patents related to blade server technology.

Texas-based Acqis LLC filed the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas alleging infringement of eight patents.

In addition to IBM and HP, the companies named as defendants are Appro International Inc., ClearCube Technology Inc, Dell Inc., Fujitsu Computer Systems Corp., Hitachi America Ltd., NEC Corp. of America, Nexcom Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc. and...
