ABA Seeks Quick Win In Red Flags Rule Challenge

Law360, New York (September 24, 2009, 3:26 PM ET) -- The American Bar Association is urging a federal judge to deliver a prompt and favorable ruling in its fight against the Federal Trade Commission, which plans to apply its controversial Red Flags Rule to lawyers beginning Nov. 1.

The ABA filed a bid for partial summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday, calling for oral argument on the motion to be scheduled on or before Oct. 23.
