Maryland Bans Employers From Workers' Social Media Accounts

Law360, New York (April 09, 2012, 9:58 PM ET) -- Maryland became the first state to pass legislation banning employers from asking for employees’ and job applicants’ social media site passwords on Monday, after both houses of its General Assembly approved the bill over the weekend.
