Law360, New York (June 08, 2012, 2:25 PM ET) -- A German data protection regulator on Thursday shelved its investigation into Facebook Inc.'s facial recognition tool, saying it would wait to see the outcome of the social media giant's talks with the Irish regulators before taking further action.
Hamburg’s Data Protection Authority said Thursday that it had decided to suspend its plans to lodge an injunction order against Facebook, after the social media company said it was in talks with the Irish Office of the Data Protection regarding changes to its privacy policies.
