Music Groups Strike Deal On Internet Royalties

Law360, New York (September 24, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A group of music industry associations has agreed to a system for calculating royalties for music distributed online, which had been a source of conflict among record labels, online music distributors and artists.

The Digital Media Association, the National Music Publishers' Association, the Recording Industry Association of America, the Nashville Songwriters Association International and the Songwriters Guild of America announced the agreement on Wednesday.
