Bell Micro Shareholder Tries To Block Avnet Merger

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 7:45 PM ET) -- A Bell Microproducts Inc. shareholder who claims that Avnet Inc.'s plan to buy the high-tech products distributor for $594 million is “manifestly unfair” asked a federal court Monday to issue an injunction to halt the deal's progress.

Bell Micro shareholder Henry Zwang is seeking an order from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California preliminarily enjoining the shareholder vote on the proposed deal.
