3Com Seeks $66M In Wake Of Failed Merger

Law360, New York (August 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Technology provider 3Com Corp. has filed suit against Bain Capital Partners LLC as part of an ongoing effort to recoup a $66 million termination fee from a buyout widely reported to have failed as a result of national security concerns.

According to 3Com's 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, the lawsuit, filed Thursday in Delaware Chancery Court, alleges breach of the terms of a merger that failed in March, sending 3Com shares plummeting.
