Law360, New York (December 11, 2009, 3:59 PM ET) -- Health care technology company Visicu Inc. lost a trial over two patents related to remote patient care when a jury found the patents invalid and ruled competitor Cerner Corp. had not infringed either one.
The jury on Tuesday ended a 14-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri by rendering a verdict of no infringement on eight claims of Visicu's U.S. Patent Number 6,804,656 and five claims of its U.S. Patent Number 7,256,708, finding both invalid for undisclosed prior art....
