Mich. AG Subpoenas Acceleration Info From Toyota

Law360, New York (March 24, 2010, 7:37 PM ET) -- Michigan's attorney general is seeking information from Toyota Motor Sales USA about the possible causes of sudden unintended acceleration in the company's vehicles and a fatal accident in Flint, Mich., that led to a private lawsuit.

Attorney General Mike Cox issued a subpoena to Toyota Motor Corp.'s U.S. sales arm on Tuesday pursuant to Michigan's Consumer Protection Act, which empowers Cox to pursue civil investigative subpoenas.
