GOP Senators Slam Obama For Trade Pact Delays

Law360, New York (June 02, 2010, 1:33 PM ET) -- Sixteen Republican senators are pressing the White House to give South Korea, Colombia and Panama a “finite” list of outstanding criteria that need to be met before pending free-trade agreements with the U.S. can be ratified, as well as a “specific timeline” for the long-delayed accords.

The letter, sent Tuesday, chastises President Barack Obama's administration for failing to make “substantial progress” to complete pending FTAs with South Korea, Colombia and Panama, despite the president's April 16 comments pledging support for completion of the agreements.
