Law360, New York (June 14, 2010, 5:40 PM ET) -- A federal judge has sustained the bulk of a Title VII suit accusing Celestica Corp. of discriminating against Muslim workers, rejecting the electronics maker's contention that it reasonably accommodated the workers' prayer schedules.
Judge Patrick J. Schiltz of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota found Thursday that Celestica misstated the law and was wrong to assume its offer to move Muslim workers to earlier shifts would have resolved its dispute with the employees over prayer breaks.
