Law360, New York (October 14, 2010, 12:42 PM ET) -- The federal government has won a judge's approval to intervene in a whistleblower suit accusing Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. of illegally marketing the kidney transplant drug Rapamune for use in other, unapproved organ transplant operations.
Judge John R. Padova on Wednesday signed off on a motion by the U.S. Department of Justice to step into the dispute on behalf of the plaintiffs, who launched their suit in 2005 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
