Uponor Faces Class Action Over Plumbing Defects

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 2:42 PM ET) -- Uponor Inc. and a subsidiary have been hit with a putative consumer fraud class action claiming the companies breached warranty agreements and sold plumbing systems with faulty brass insert fittings prone to premature failures.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, named plaintiff Charles Perrone says Uponor and subsidiary Radiant Technology Inc. warranted and advertised the fittings that were part of those systems as “proven” and “reliable.”
