Reebok Infringes Sports Gear Patents, Suit Says

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 2:51 PM ET) -- A Michigan-based unit of New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. has sued Reebok International Ltd. for allegedly infringing eight patents on hockey and lacrosse equipment.

Warrior Sports Inc. filed an infringement action Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, accusing Reebok of directly and indirectly infringing patents that cover hockey gloves, lacrosse stick heads and shoulder pads.

The infringement was “intentional and willful,” Warrior said.
