Roche Sues Biosite Over Patents For Diagnostic Tests

Law360, New York (November 14, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Roche Diagnostics has sued rival Biosite Inc. for patent infringement in federal court, asserting that the medical device maker infringed two patents used in diagnostic tests.

The complaint, filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana in Indianapolis, alleges that Biosite is infringing two patents, U.S. Patent 5,366,609 and U.S. Patent 4,816,224.

Roche Diagnostics is a U.S. subsidiary of Swiss drug maker F. Hoffmann-La Roche.
