Law360, New York (January 12, 2012, 5:57 PM ET) -- The 84-year-old billionaire owner of a Detroit bridge company and his deputy were ordered to jail Thursday for contempt of court after the company repeatedly failed to comply with a Michigan state court's order to finish work on the city's Ambassador Bridge.
Wayne County Circuit Judge Prentis Edwards said in a hearing Thursday that the only way to get the Detroit International Bridge Co. to finish the work was to imprison its owner, Manuel “Matty” Moroun, and president, Dan Stamper.
