Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 2:33 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Tuesday narrowed a sprawling patent dispute between Apple Inc. and Motorola Inc. over smartphone technology, ruling that Apple did not infringe two Motorola patents and finding that one Apple patent is invalid.
Judge Richard Posner of the Seventh Circuit, presiding over the case in the Northern District of Illinois by special designation, also denied motions for summary judgment by the parties regarding six other patents.
